The Lord has taken me back through some of my journals, and I wanted to share a piece from it..

So many times we forget >>

>> We remember the gracious Jesus in his care, love, compassion to the sick, poor, and needy; but we forget the giant burden that Christ embraced on the cross.

>> We forget all the torture and pain wrongfully poured upon his body, that he did not have to choose to receive. We forget his human flesh that was torn and beaten.

>> We forget the any opportunities in which he could have simply said "Enough," and it would have all ended.

>> We forget the value of his forgiveness - forgiveness that is not at all deserved.

>> We forget the power he carried within himself that he used not to rise and fight with, but to lay down his life with.

>> We forget how the world was shaken by it all, how our lives should be shaken by it all.

>> We forget the tears weaped by a mother.

>> We forget the denial by his "brothers".

>> We forget You, my God, in what it took to offer this needed sacrifice.

But oh Lord, may we never forget that the story did not end in the grave. For your power that raised Christ to life again is the same power that changes our souls.. sets our hearts free.. and pours out your grace for all who believe. Your story is not over.. but is being lived out by Your Spirit in our lives.

Thank you my Savior for all that I forget and the parts that I will never know.
